Think about the two different demonstrations that took place outside this week.
First, explain what we did in the first ditch. Tell about the landforms you saw being formed. Explain how you knew what you were seeing. (example: A valley was formed because a low place between the two mountains was formed.)
Next, the second paragraph will tell about what we did in the ditch at the top of the hill and what you learned.
You will be graded on whether you used all of the vocabulary words correctly and if you followed the directions to form two paragraphs with topic sentences and concluding sentences and had all required information.

We split up in groups the first part of dirt day. The even went first. Then the my group the odds. We saw a fake mountain but it was made of dirt. Mrs.Greenslade got the hose and put it on the mountain. After awile the water from the hose was making a canyon because the water was betting on the mountain.But beforethe canyon was made it was a basin. Behind the mountain a lake was being formed because the water from the mountain was running down its backside. The water was making a river. A river has meanders and delta in it.A delta is where smaller water meats bigger water. Sediment was being washed up on shore. Sediment is fine particles of earth's materials. The sediment was being deposition onto shore. Deposition is eroded material settles out of the water. Erosion makes sediment because erosion is wearing away of earth's surface by wind or water.
The forth grade was one big group now. There was another mountain. The mountain was in a slope. A slope is a downhill so it go down if you are at the top. The techers gave us five minutes to find a partner and build a dam. A dam is a thing that makes water stop floing. Austain and my dam almost stoped the water but the water got throw. Dirt day rocked and I loved it!!!!!!!!
